Dhamaka: Wise Movie On Indian Media With Message

Dhamaka is made for Netflix; Unlike theatrical releases, good content is designed to end up here. If Dhamaka were to be released in theaters, its run time may be as short as a week. The decision to release this film on Netflix proved to be a wise one.

Talking about the film, it’s a well-made thriller that deserves to be seen. Yes, the film does have some shortcomings. While the film is getting intense, the tone of the film is bright; it looks like a sense of fear has vanished.

Yet some dialogues are corny & the writing is rushed. Director Ram Madhavani, on the other hand, gave us something unassuming. An actor is entrusted playing a role that appears to be larger than their own cinematic persona. At first glance, the film appears to be similar to Netflix’s previous release “The Guilty,” but it is distinct and has a message: it exposes all journalism, politicians, and their wrongdoings.

Kartik Aaryan as Arjun Pathak, a cynical ex-Tv news anchor plays this role effortlessly. He gets an alarming call on his radio show, he sees a chance for a career comeback — but it may cost him his conscience.

Such a climax is unusual for a fictitious plot, (keeping Indian audience in mind) but I find it intriguing and appropriate for the film. I’m referring to the notion that “one sorry will save the entire mayhem,” yet saying sorry means admitting a mistake, which no one wants to do. Which is undoubtedly correct. This message resonated with the audience, making the film stand out.
