Gehraiyaan- Emotional Bait, Forgettable watch
Well, enough said about the movie as Gehraiyaan creates a buzz for its material.
In terms of the film itself, it’s way too long, 2h 28m is like dodging a bullet. The entire film has a very subtle thematic shift, only the last 30 minutes are a ball of fire. Because of a good screenplay, the movie is able to create a terrific atmosphere.
There are no remakes, and the original vocals seem to float. The film explores love, desire, and adultery in today’s complex relationships, as well as their psychological positioning, secrets, life choices, and acts when confronted with emotionally vulnerable situations. Rich emotions, opulent settings, and stereotypical girls twisted in the sake of wealth, sex, and so-called love.
The cast is great, Ananya Pandey is the ideal choice for this character (not joking). Her demeanor is exactly like that onscreen, and she carries it off nicely. Deepika seems to be in better shape than we’ve seen her, and she’s a good yoga practitioner.😂 Then there’s Siddhant Chaturvedi, who is mediocre, similar to his previous role as bunty, erratic.
Overall, Gehraiyaan shines at depicting what occurs when relationships get complex, but the emotions are not fully synthesized. A forgettable watch.
