‘Jagame Thandhiram’- a Bit of Everything

After the career defying performance in ‘Karnan’, Dhanus is back with a role of a gangster. Yes, we have seen Maari-I, Maari-II this film has a ‘Maari’ vibe to it. While killing people in ‘Maari’ Dhanush used to cross fingers together but here he tweaks a bit & uses tongue while killing people. Trust me on this, Dhanush looks natural while he does that, makes me wonder how he does it. He knows the role & plays effortlessly.

Anyway Talking about the movie, at this point I would say ‘Jagame Thandhiram; is everything the second season of The Family Man isn’t. It’s fantastic and entertaining. On the downside, this film has a little bit of everything. Was it necessary?

It’s not just a gangster movie, it has politics, global immigration crisis & hell lot. More than half of the film was shot in UK & casts from the UK are
isn’t up to par. Overall, Jagame Thandiram is a mediocre gangster film that is nevertheless enjoyable!

This film also reminds me of the gangster film “Public Enemies” (Christian Bale and Johnny Depp).
