Kate: Aspired to be like Atomic Blonde or John Wick

If Kate is digested as ‘Atomic Blonde,’ I’ll be thrilled, but it’s a predictable thriller that promises to entertain us but fails miserably. It’s not particularly gripping, the opening sequence isn’t extremely engrossing.-The phony kill, the kid, everything.

The film aspired to be like Atomic Blonde or John Wick, which combine a variety of ultra-violent hand-to-hand fighting style with thrilling camerawork. The picture unexpectedly becomes so raw and nasty that watching it will give you an adrenaline rush. Elizabeth Winstead was unstoppable in the role, ripping out an entire neon-drenched criminal underbelly on her own.

The conflict isn’t between men and women, or between young and old; it’s about a class of people who are used as tools or pawns in a game they will never win. It’s all about sleight of hand. You should work like a bot, seeing and witnessing things but without reacting to them. Apart from the plot, the film is straightforward and fast-paced (Japanese style cuts), and you will thoroughly like it.
