The release of this movie on a large scale is good for the future of the Nepali film industry. There was a lot of hype and controversy surrounding the taxes levied on the film, but ultimately the movie was released. I saw many reviews online for a Prem Geet 3 that seems like paid, but the sentiment among them is that this low-budget Nepali movie is a competitor to “Baahubali’’. (I wonder why the movie is being compared to Baahubali) LOL.

I was swayed by the comments I read online and ended up watching the Prem Geet 3. I wish I could say something positive about it, but I would be lying if I did.

Although I haven’t seen the earlier versions of Prem Geet, I watched this one and it made me feel like Prem Geet and Nai Na Bhannu La are in the same league as the James Bond franchise. With James Bond having made it to 25 movies, I think Prem Geet and Nai Na Bhannu La will achieve that same feat. I wish the makers of these films good luck in their future endeavors.

Talking about the movie, I actually found that the Hindi version is much better than the Nepali version, in terms of delivery. Hindi was much more pleasing to listen to than the Nepali. It’s not that the Hindi version is necessarily better than the Nepali, but compared to the Nepali, I am picking Hindi as the lesser of two evils.

This is 2022, and people are making films with such cringe dialogue. Those are not even dialogue, they are just lines read aloud. The biggest problem with Nepali movies is the writing. Trust me, good writers are what Nepali movies need. Such Poor writing and dull screenplay make for a very boring movie. In Nepali movies, you can usually predict the plot. That’s okay for a commercial movie, but at least it should be entertaining.

I’ve seen some good Nepali movies that were actually better and more entertaining than this one, even though they had less of a budget. Examples include Chiso Ashtray, Jhinge Dau, Ainaa Jhyal Ko Putali, and Kalo Pothi.

I didn’t find anything good about Prem Geet 3 other than it could be used to boost tourism. It’s a disaster.

Next, You don’t need to see the movie to know how Pradeep acts, just watch one of his interviews and listen to him speak. His delivery is exactly the same in the movie. Sometimes he speaks slowly to sound dramatic but it sounds so fake. Kristina’s acting debut is fine. She’s not the focus of the film, so you can ignore her.

As for the cinematography, it’s average. Some shots were great, but most of them were lackluster. The camerawork in this movie was very bland and uninteresting. I kept wondering why they didn’t add any slow motion shots or cool cuts to make the next scene more exciting. The visual effects looked like they were taken directly from a motion array.

Overall, this film is a waste of time. However, if you are still interested in seeing it, go ahead and watch it in theaters, prove that you are a patriot first. 🤣

P.S: I can say nice things about a movie if I’m paid🤣
